Rosemary Gard has spent three months in Croatia in a village where she observed the customs and living habits of her relatives. Rosemary and her husband, Bob, lived for a year in Vicenza, Italy while he was with the army.
Destiny’s Dowry was Rosemary Gard’s first novel. The second Destiny book, Destiny Denied is the bridge to Destiny’s Dance, the last of the Destiny Trilogy. The final installment brings the heroine from Croatia to Gary, Indiana in 1909. We have been told that the largest ethnic population at that time in Gary, was Croatian.
